• Location data attached to photos (at the precision level you choose)
• Comments and interactions you make in the app
• Profile information you optionally provide (nickname, bio, avatar)

• To provide the WhatsThis service
• To allow other users to help identify your uploaded objects
• To show location-aware content at the privacy level you select
• To send account verification and password reset emails

Location privacy

You control how precise your location is shared. Options range from exact coordinates to country-level only. We store the precision level you choose and display only what you have authorised.

• AWS Cognito - authentication
• AWS S3 - photo storage
• Google Sign-In - optional authentication method

Data retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
